Carnival of the animals

The Norðurland Symphony Orchestra invites students in the third, fourth and fifth grades of elementary school in Akureyri to the school concert Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saëns.

The narrator is Arnthór Þórsteinssson, but the moderator is none other than Greta Salóme. The director is Jenný Lára Arnórsdóttir.

Carnival of the Animals is a large zoo fantasy divided into 14 parts inspired by as many animals.

The first chapter is a kind of prelude to the story, but the next twelve chapters describe lions, chickens, turtles, elephants, fish, birds and other animals. At the end, all the animals meet and celebrate.
